Alerts are notifications that are sent through emails, SMS or Webhooks. Check the integrations section for more information. Alerts are only generated for certain events.
You can ignore minor downtime by configuring the Alert to be sent only after a certain number of checks have failed. Change the Alert after setting of an alert from the Alerts tab of a monitor to do this.
Create multiple contacts and create alerts for them with different Alert after setting.
You can configure alerts to repeat a fixed number of times by changing the Repeat alert setting. You can also configure the interval between the repeat alerts by changing the Repeat interval setting.
The alerts are no longer sent if the monitor comes back up.
You can receive alerts by first setting up a monitor on your server. For a website or web application create an HTTP monitor. You can select the contacts you want to send website downtime alerts to while adding the monitor. Use the steps described below to enable it for existing monitors.
A port monitor can be used to track a publicly open port for downtime. Pinger Man will try to create a TCP connection to the server to ensure it is accessible from outside your network. Server down alert will be sent if the port is not accessible from 3 or more locations.
