Choose IP Protocol for HTTP Monitoring (IPv4 / IPv6)

We’ve introduced a new flexibility-focused update for your uptime checks — you can now choose the IP protocol used by your HTTP monitors.

Whether your infrastructure supports IPv4 , IPv6 , or both, Pinger Man lets you pick exactly how each monitor should connect. This ensures more accurate checks, avoids false downtime when one protocol is unavailable, and gives you better visibility into how your services behave across modern networks.

With this enhancement, you can:

  • Force IPv4 or IPv6 based on how your application is deployed
  • Run dual-stack tests by creating monitors for each protocol
  • Avoid unexpected failures when a DNS record resolves differently across regions
  • Improve debugging by isolating protocol-specific networking issues
